Olympic Stadium

Description

Located in the Töölö district, the Helsinki Olympic Stadium is the largest sports arena in Finland and an important part of the country's cultural and sporting heritage. Built in the functionalist style, the stadium fits harmoniously into the surrounding Finnish landscape. Since its opening in 1938, the Olympic Stadium has witnessed many significant events, including the XV Summer Olympics in 1952.

The modern arena can accommodate up to 40,000 spectators and serves as the home ground of the Finland national football team. During the summer months, it also hosts major music concerts. A recent renovation, completed in 2020, provided the stadium with updated infrastructure, including a modern lighting system and a canopy over the stands.

The complex is home to the Finnish Sports Museum and the affordable Stadion Hostel. The stadium tower, 72 meters 71 centimeters high, offers visitors a breathtaking view of Helsinki and the Gulf of Finland.

You can buy tickets to attend events at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, and the current schedule and poster are available on our website.
